As we continue our preparations to launch our league in 2025, we are excited to announce that we are now formally beginning our process of recruiting some of the coaching staff that you’ll see on the sidelines come kick-off time.
When recruiting coaches, what better place to look than at the American Football Coaches Association Convention!?
Our Managing Director Mick Tyler will be in attendance in Nashville from January 7th-10th, along with hundreds of talented and passionate coaches from around the world.
Mick said: “AFCA’s annual conference is a great event, where coaches from across the States, and some from around the world, come to network. Last year, I attended and had the opportunity to speak with some great people and listen to the guest speakers, it was fantastic.”
The Future of the UKFL
American Football is a team sport – that requires a lot of people to function – but, before we can put together some rosters, we need to find the right people to lead these teams! Our journey to do just that begins in January.
“At this year’s convention, I will be looking to recruit Full Time Employed Head Coaches, who are looking to make a long-term commitment to coaching in the UK.”

“The UKFL is on the path towards a 2025 launch, and we know that having the right Head Coaches in place as soon as possible is an absolutely key criteria to ensure that we can hit that target. We need coaches in place before we can move on to players.”
We are incredibly determined to ensure that the league stays on track to launch in 2025. The next step on that path begins on January 7th.
